Originally developed in Madrid, The J&J LAB is a Jack & Jill training concept is designed to help dancers develop the key skills needed for improvisation and Jack & Jill / social competition dancing: musicality, connection, adaptability and improvisation. The goal is to create a space where dancers can actively train improvisation and learn to adapt to different partners in real time. In collaboration with Bachata House, The J&J LAB will be introduced in Denmark through a series of one-hour training sessions focused on these Jack & Jill skills. Ready to level up your bachata with trending moves, fresh variations & stylings and deeper connection on the dance floor?Join Imad & Natalia for this 4-hour bootcamp designed to give you new tools and inspiration, as well as a deeper understanding of the dance conversation between two partners. The workshop will focus on exploring trending combinations and how to adjust them to different partners, creating space for expression and styling for both. In short, learning how to become that favorite leader or follower on the dance floor.FOCUS AREAS: Workshop 1: TRENDING MOVES, VARIATIONS & STYLINGS Explore some of the most popular bachata combinations seen on dance floors around the world at the moment. You will be guided through multiple variations of moves, so you can adapt them to different partners, styles, and situations. It’s about taking what is trending and making it yours. Workshop 2: THE DANCE FLOOR ‘CONVERSATION’ What makes someone a favorite to dance with? It’s not just about figures or technique—it’s about communication. In this workshop, we will learn how to truly listen to your partner, give and take space, and create room for expression and styling. You will learn how to adapt, connect, and elevate the dance together. Lets get our feet moving
Footwork in bachata is so much more than just the 1-2-3-tap! During this workshop, Erik will teach you how you can use your feet to express your musicality, both in solo and in partnerwork.This solo workshop will give you the chance to work on your own dancing and to get the tools and resources you need to practice and refine on your own after! During the bootcamp, Erik will guide you to how this solo work can be applied to improve your partner dancing - both for leaders and followers
STRUCTURE OF THE BOOTCAMP:
The bootcamp will be focused on giving you a general understanding of the principles for applying footwork and shines in your dancing. In addition, it will give you concrete elements and sequences to put those principles into practice. To achieve these two goals, the program has two main parts:
PART 1: We will go through the essential footwork elements used in bachata to build your repertoire. In addition we will work with how these essential elements can can express and be adjusted to the music
PART 2: We will spend most of the bootcamp learning a solo choreo together. This is allow us to apply the principles taught in part 1 in action - while also learning a fun and challening choreography - building technique, muscle memory and repetoire. This ensures that you after the bootcamp can execute the elements you have learned with more ease and naturalness in your social dancing.

The course will focus on bachata styling, with an emphasis on smooth and soft sensual movements. Through the course, we will work with body and head movement, turns, beautiful hand movements and much more. By the end of the course, you will feel more confident in your dancing and have more tools and ideas for styling, both alone and in couples.
