Jack & Jill Lab Denmark – Competition Training

Originally developed in Madrid, The J&J LAB is a Jack & Jill training concept is designed to help dancers develop the key skills needed for improvisation and Jack & Jill / social competition dancing: musicality, connection, adaptability and improvisation. The goal is to create a space where dancers can actively train improvisation and learn to adapt to different partners in real time.
In collaboration with Bachata House, The J&J LAB will be introduced in Denmark through a series of one-hour training sessions focused on these Jack & Jill skills.
Each class is designed as a focused one-hour training and includes:
- Short warm-up or musicality activation
- Focus on one specific concept (musicality, connection, timing, creativity, reaction, etc.)
- Practical drills with partner rotation
- Improvisation exercises or Jack & Jill dynamics
- Spotlights or short simulations with feedback
Each week focuses on different training formats such as musicality drills, improvisation exercises, partner connection training or Jack & Jill simulations.
The intention of The J&J LAB is to create a supportive training environment where dancers can experiment, challenge themselves and grow their skills together. We can’t wait to dance with you!

LEVEL: Intermediate+
This course is for all intermediate and advanced, who already are or are considering trying out competitions – or who simply want to know what it is all about and practice the same tools used in social dance competitions.

INSTRUCTORS:
Aina & Imad
Aina is the creator of the J&J Lab in Madrid. She has been dancing and teaching for over 10 years and in 2024 she made it to finals of the worlds most competitive Jack & Jill competition, the Bachata Social World Cup in Genève! Dont miss the chance to learn from her!
Imad is Bachata House’s very own house instructor and has been teaching locally and internationally since 2018. He is also both an experienced competitor and judge of Jack & Jill competitions and has won first places in Bachata Meet Up DK 2024 and in Sweden in 2025. He will teach this one of a kind course with Aina and bring you all of his competition experience!
